The CTI Library is one of the most comprehensive theological and philosophical libraries in Papua New Guinea. Supporting the academic and spiritual formation of future Church leaders, it provides access to approximately 21,000 volumes, representing more than 16,000 unique titles in theology, philosophy, Scripture, Church history, pastoral ministry, and related disciplines.
A distinctive feature of the library is its Melanesian Collection, one of the largest specialized collections of Melanesian theological, historical, cultural, and social resources in Papua New Guinea. This collection is an important resource for students, researchers, and anyone seeking to understand the peoples, cultures, and churches of Melanesia.
The library catalogue is available online at cti.library.site, allowing users to search the collection from anywhere.
Students and researchers are also encouraged to explore the Library's Online Resource Guide, which provides access to free online resources, including digital libraries, dictionaries, theological reference works, Scripture resources, academic search tools, and English-language learning supports.
In addition to the print collection, students have access to two of the world's leading academic databases:
• ATLA Religion Database – the premier research database for theology, biblical studies, religious studies, and ministry.
• JSTOR – a comprehensive digital archive of scholarly journals, books, and primary sources spanning theology, philosophy, history, the humanities, and the social sciences.
Together, these resources provide access to millions of articles, book reviews, and other scholarly publications to support research, teaching, and lifelong learning.
